In the Kosei Shimbun series "Words from the Sutras," the author, Founder Niwano, introduces a specific passage from various Buddhist scriptures in each installment.

"Essentials of the Threefold Lotus Sutra" is a compilation of commentaries by Founder Niwano on the "Threefold Lotus Sutra," the foundational scripture of Rissho Kosei-kai.

Rissho Kosei-kai, which takes the "Threefold Lotus Sutra" as its foundational scripture, has held the Manto (lantern) parade as part of the "Honbu Oeshiki" since 1949.

Since its founding, Rissho Kosei-kai has actively promoted sports activities as part of its social contribution to foster community exchange.
