``Sanity'' means the true and supreme Qi that permeates between heaven and earth, the root Qi of all things. When read as ``shoki'', it means sincerity or seriousness. At the beginning of the calligraphy, I expressed my desire to do my best in light of the teachings of Buddhism so as not to become a ``shoki'' and lose my ``seiki''.
