Rissho Kosei-kai (hereinafter referred to as “Rissho Kosei-kai”) considers it its responsibility to safely and appropriately protect and manage the personal information entrusted to us by users. In order to fulfill this responsibility, we have established this Policy on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as “this Policy”) and will collect and handle personal information only within the necessary scope.
1. Purposes of Use of Personal Information
Rissho Kosei-kai collects and uses personal information mainly for the following purposes.

- To conduct surveys and analysis for the smooth operation and improvement of Rissho Kosei-kai’s activities and projects.

2. Security Control Measures for Personal Information
When handling personal information, Rissho Kosei-kai implements the following security control measures.
- Establishment of standards, manuals, and other materials related to personal information.
- Regular training for Rissho Kosei-kai staff.
- Regular audits concerning the handling of personal information.
- Establishment of selection criteria and related standards for contractors.
- Implementation of reasonable security measures to prevent and protect against risks such as unauthorized access, loss, destruction, alteration, and leakage.
- Compliance with laws and regulations applicable to personal information, guidelines established by the national government, and other norms.
- Appropriate operation of information security measures, necessary management, continuous review, and corrective action.
3. Outsourcing and Supervision of Contractors
Rissho Kosei-kai may outsource part of its operations for the purposes of use and may provide personal information to contractors within the scope necessary to achieve those purposes. In such cases, we select contractors that have taken sufficient measures for the handling of personal information, conclude contracts necessary for the provision of such information, and manage and supervise the contractors.
4. Disclosure or Provision to Third Parties
Rissho Kosei-kai will not disclose or provide personal information entrusted to us to third parties, except in any of the following cases. Please note that provision of personal information through the outsourcing described above does not constitute disclosure or provision to a third party.
- When consent has been obtained from the individual.
- When disclosure or provision is requested within the scope permitted by laws and regulations.
- When it is necessary for the protection of an individual’s life, body, or property, and it is difficult to obtain the individual’s consent.
- When it is necessary to cooperate with a national or local government agency, or a similar public body, in carrying out public affairs, and notifying the individual of the purpose of use or making it public may hinder the performance of those affairs.
- In other cases where the purpose of use is clear from the circumstances under which the information was obtained.
5. Inquiries, Corrections, and Deletion of Personal Information
If the individual requests inquiry, correction, deletion, or similar action regarding the content of their personal information, Rissho Kosei-kai will respond within a reasonable scope.
6. Changes to This Policy
Rissho Kosei-kai may change this Policy as necessary in order to review the operation of its handling of personal information as appropriate and to strive for continuous improvement. When changes are made, they will be announced on the Rissho Kosei-kai website (https://archive.kosei-kai.or.jp/). Such changes will take effect from the time they are announced.
